    • Service all heating systems and all gas-, oil- or coal-burning appliances by a technician annually.

    • Install a battery-operated and electric-powered carbon monoxide detector in your home and check or replace the battery when you change the time on your clocks each spring and fall. If the detector sounds, leave your home immediately and call 911.

    • Contact a doctor if you believe you have carbon monoxide poisoning.

    • Do not use gas-powered devices such as a generator, grill or stove inside your home, basement or near a near a window or door. Generators should be operated more than 15 feet from the home.

    • Do not run any gas-powered motor inside a closed structure, such as a garage.

    • Do not heat a home with a gas oven.

    The Work from Home Agreements for IBEW members working at AT&T have been extended through December 31, 2021. On Sunday, June 20, 2021 wage increases that were bargained for IBEW members working in the AT&T Core Contract went into effect.     Wednesday July 7, 2021 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 21 members (IBEW21) working as dispatchers in the Lake County Indiana Emergency 911 Call Center voted to accept their tentative agreement.  The agreement was ratified with a 90% vote in favor of the proposal.

    2021 IBEW Local 21 Officers' Election Results

    The IBEW Local 21 Union Election is complete; all of the ballots have been counted. Under the election rules, each office is decided by the candidate receiving the most votes for that specific office. IBEW Local Union 21 Officers and Executive Board Members will be installed in office at the first regular Local Union Executive Board meeting following their election to office.     Good Afternoon, IBEW Local 2325 is celebrating its 50th Year as an organized labor organization. Our Local was founded in the summer of 1971 with 22 members signing on to our Charter. I have to say it has been 50 years full of ups and downs but most of all 50 years of unity. Together we have been through job actions, strikes, ratifications and multiple rounds of negotiations.
